Mark is an internationally renowned & respected dog behaviour specialist

I do not use any cruel, abusive or harsh training methods, as you will observe in some dog training in Vietnam.

I am an Australian Government & Military Accredited Dog Behaviour Specialist with 41 years experience.

Proposed Next Hanoi Visit Dates: Friday 9rd to Sunday 10th of September

For any behavioural issue you are experiencing with your dog.

Sending your dog away to be trained will not (in the majority cases) help your dog work through behaviour issues you maybe experiencing with your dog at home. Behaviour issues are best dealt with in the dogs own environment, its home.

behaviouralFor those dogs with complex behaviour issues I offer in-home behaviour consultations as the preferred way to help dog owners work through issues they are having with their dog. Being able to observe the dog in its natural environment allows me to have a better understanding of the relationship the dog has with its family. I can also observe the dog’s unwanted behaviours where they are manifesting themselves, as a dogs behaviour will often change when they are taken away from the environment they feel most comfortable in. In some cases it can be difficult to understand why your dog is behaving the way it is, if not observed in its natural environment.

aggression 1In most cases a dogs behaviour is a reflection of its environment and its relationship with its owner. Many dog owners unintentionally and unknowingly cause an imbalance in their relationship with their dog, causing confusion from the dogs perspective in regards to its relationship with its owners (and even with other people). My number one priority when supporting dog owners is to help them to understand their relationship with their dog better, from a perspective that the dog can understand. In many cases when the relationship is reset to a more balanced and natural state, many behavioural issues tend to disappear. Modifying a dog’s behaviour is never just about fixing the dog, as a dog isn’t broken – in most cases it’s the relationship that has become unbalanced. You are your dogs greatest influence and your dog is continually learning from you, even when you are not consciously training your dog!

leadpull 5My initial home consultation lasts approximately 2 hours. This allows time for me to observe your dog and therefore have a good understanding as to why it is displaying the undesirable behaviours, and therefore better able to guide you on a course of action to help modify your dog’s behaviour.

If more intensive assistance is required, I will design a training plan package with you during the initial visit, which can include further sessions in your home or private lessons. In many cases, clients find a single consultation is all they require. However, some dog owners may prefer further visits to help guide them through the behaviour modification process, especially if there are issues such as severe aggression.

My home consultations can include 30 days ongoing support, via WhatsApp, Zalo, Telegram, Viber or Zoom. This can be very beneficial for helping and guiding clients through the  training and behaviour modification process with their dog, if they require further assistance after the initial consultation. This support can include voice, text messages and video assistance. Please note, this follow-up support is for the behavioural issues that were covered during the home consultation. The fee's are outlined below.

Video recording

You are more then welcome to video record your consultation, or parts of it. Doing so can assist you to go back over what was demonstrated or discussed during the consultation. All I ask is that a copy is also sent to me.

Do you speak english?

If you do not speak English, it is advisable if you can organise an English speaking family member or friend to attend the home consultation, to assist with English to Vietnamese translations.

My in-home consultations are for around 90 to 120 mins, and include a full evaluation of your dog and the behaviours you are having issues with. Then advice and guidance on helping your dog work through the unwanted behaviour/s. This consultation can also include the 30 day follow-up support.
